In addition to Bairstow’s work on Dawson, she is one of the leading researchers on the famous Frida Kahlo painting titled “El Suicidio de Dorothy Hale” (Suicide of Dorothy Hale). When she began researching the painting over a decade ago, Bairstow unexpectedly found many contradictions about Dorothy Hale’s life and death.
